The real wedding is still in May, but this will solve Morra’s health insurance dilemma. The papers were signed during a lunch hour civil ceremony in NYC today. The happy couple is taking the rest of the day off.

I think this bodes well: My own parents also had a lunchtime civil ceremony in NYC in 1969 — though they didn’t even take the day off, instead returning to work after getting a brotwurst lunch at Max’s Kansas City — and remain happily married 37 years later.
